Nintendo has today announced Kirby’s Adventure Wii, which will bring four player co-op to the home console, will be released on Europe November 25.

While it shares the same name as the NES game of 18 years prior, the Wii offering presents an all-new Kirby adventure.

After an alien spaceship crashes on the rather interestingly named Planet PopStar, its pieces are scattered throughout the land. The idea, then, is to guide Kirby about the planet, retrieving ship parts and aiding the aliens return to their home planet. As Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede and Waddle Dee, four players can team up to help repair the Lor Starcutter.

As well as drop-in drop-out co-op, the game will feature a Ninja Dojo, where players can use the Wii-mote to throw ninja stars at a target.

Kirby’s trademark copy abilities are back, achieved once again through inhaling his enemies. The Spear Copy Ability, for example, allows Kirby to thrust and manoeuvre a spear in different ways. You can imagine how Sword Kirby, Whip Kirby, Ninja Kirby and Fighter Kirby might handle based on this logic.

The last Kirby game – Kirby’s Epic Yarn – recieved a whopping 9/10 review from VideoGamer.com.
