We may be the last place on earth to receive the game, given it was released in Japan in December 2005, and in North America back in March, 2006, but Kingdom Hearts II is finally coming to Europe and PAL territories this autumn.

In Kingdom Hearts II, players will visit new worlds, including those of Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, Steamboat Willie and Tron. Players will also revisit worlds from the first game, and meet more than 100 Disney characters, including Chicken Little, and Stitch from Lilo and Stitch, both of whom are new to the game.

The game also features new, original characters such as a Roxas, members of Organization XIII and the Nobodies. They are all designed by Square Enix’s Tetsuya Nomura, director and character designer of the KINGDOM HEARTS series. Nomura is most famous for his creations in Final Fantasy VII, VIII, X, X-2, and as director of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

From Mickey Mouse in Steamboat Willie to Pirates of the Caribbean and FINAL FANTASY, both Disney and Square Enix boast characters with worldwide recognition. KINGDOM HEARTS II combines the best of these worlds in a stunning game that will appeal to all gamers,” said John Yamamoto, President and CEO, Square Enix Ltd.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated as and when the game receives a solid release date.
