An unannounced game in the Kingdom Hearts series is in development for PS3 and PS4, according to the CV of a former Square Enix developer.

The employee’s LinkedIn profile lists Kingdom Hearts 2.9 for release on both current and last-gen platforms, with the game said to have been in development since at least August 2014.

The developer says he helped contribute to “game idea planning and documentation”, “game check and balance”, “boss planning” and “attraction flow planning and documentation”.

Square Enix has yet to announce Kingdom Hearts 2.9, but going by the name, you should probably expect it to be an enhanced version of 2005 RPG Kingdom Hearts 2.

It wouldn’t be the first time Square has released an enhanced version of the Disney RPG, either, with Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix having hit PS3 late last year featuring improved graphics and additional content.

It also isn’t clear whether it will arrive before Kingdom Hearts 3, the next game in the series due for release on PS4 and Xbox One.

Square Enix has yet to comment on the leak.
