King of Fighters: Maximum Impact is the first 3D fighter in the series from well known beat’em up expert SNK. To mark the release, SNK are giving away a special bonus DVD, showing what went into making the game, as part of the package.

Anyone fearful of a poor Pal conversion can rest easy, as the game will include 60Hz compatibility, and the original Japanese voices will still be present.

Peter Rollinson, Product Manager at Ignition Entertainment, had this to say about the games European release: “Maximum Impact is King of Fighters evolved. It succeeds where others have failed by retaining its essence – but with an additional dimension. The game’s critical and commercial success in Japan shows how much its native audience have welcomed the move to 3D – and we can’t wait to see how European fighters react.”

King of Fighters: Maximum Impact will be available for the PlayStation 2 in February 2005, with a suggested RRP of £39.99.
