Kinect for Xbox 360 – the motion sensing add-on previously known as Project Natal – will be released in November this year.
The final version of the peripheral was unveiled this evening at a lworld premier event in the Galen Center, Los Angeles.
After the event Microsoft handed press kits out to attendees. One product image, displayed below, reveals Kinect will be out in November.
Amid an elaborate performance by dancers from Cirque du Soleil, video screens showed a number of new Kinect games, including a Kinect Star Wars title which allows players to wield an imaginary lightsaber and fight Darth Vader.
Microsoft also released the first shots of Kinect, which you can see below.
No pricing was revealed at the event, but Microsoft has promised more details at its press conference on Monday, which we will of course be all over.
