Zed-zapping sequel Killing Floor 2 is going free to play on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this weekend, developer Tripwire Interactive has announced.

Those of you who are members of PlayStation Plus and Xbox LIVE Gold can give the first-person shooter a spin for free from today until Monday, June 25. It's all in celebration of the release of Killing Floor 2's Summer Sideshow: Treacherous Skies update.

There's also a bunch of discounts off the full version of Killing Floor 2 if you fancy taking the plunge. On Steam, you can grab it at 60% off the usual asking price, despite it not being part of the free trial.

Meanwhile, PS4 owners can grab the game for $15 and Xbox One players can buy it for $20, although with the latter you won't need an Xbox LIVE Gold account to take advantage of the price cut.

Killing Floor 2 was originally released on PC and PS4 in November 2016 and arrived on Xbox One the following August.
