One of the most breathtaking parts of any E3 press conference this year was Keanu Reeves at Xbox. During the Cyberpunk 2077 portion of the show, it was revealed that the actor who plays John Wick, in the popular John Wick films, would be in The Witcher developer's next game.

Quest Director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz recently spoke to Game Informer about Reeves' role, and it's fair to say it's far from a shoddy celebrity cameo. Tomaszkiewicz said Neo from The Matrix is a 'supporting protagonist' that's 'present throughout most of the game.'

Ted from Bill & Ted portrays Johnny Silverhand, who Tomaszkiewicz said is 'a man of conviction.'

'He is a rocker boy, so he was a famous celebrity, but at the same time, he fights the system. He doesn’t like corporations. He stands against the oppression.'

Keanu the cat, from the film Keanu, was also keen to stick his oar in every once in a while, apparently, offering up ideas for Johnny Silverhand during VO recording sessions. 'It’s really cool to work with someone as experienced as Keanu and see the direction that he would take the character,' Tomaszkiewicz added.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out April 16, 2020, on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
