PlatinumGames co-founder Hideki Kamiya has said that he’d like to develop Bayonetta 3, and that he already has ideas for a sequel to 2006 RPG Okami.

Speaking to UK newspaper Metro, Kamiya teased that he would take into account the interviewer’s preference of Bayonetta’s original haircut “when we start doing 3, if we ever make 3”.

“Of course want to make [Bayonetta] 3,” he continued. “Why should it end at 2?”

Asked whether he’d spoken to any publishers about developing a sequel, Kamiya said: “No, but I’ve spent a lot of time thinking in my head what that game would be. I’ve got ideas in my head for Okami 2 as well.”

“We’ve got other Scalebounds in our heads too,” he later teased.

The original Bayonetta, which was published by SEGA, released on Xbox 360 and PS3 back in 2010. The sequel, however, was snapped up by Nintendo as a Wii U exclusive.

Okami, meanwhile, was developed by Clover Studio, many of whom – including Kamiya – went on to found PlatinumGames. Kamiya’s next game, Scalebound, launches on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC early next year.
