Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Comics are working together to produce an action RPG game staring the Justice League. Justice League of America is scheduled for a late 2006 release on PlayStation 2 and Xbox featuring DC characters including Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman.
The game will feature single-player and co-op play, but it’s unknown if this will be online. The game is being developed by a third-party developer as yet undisclosed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
“We are excited to announce a videogame that will bring the legendary super heroes of the ‘Justice League of America’ to the next level for gamers,” said Jason Hall at Warner Bros. Interactive. “The innovative and highly engaging combat system in the ‘Justice League of America’ game will capture the strength and appeal of the characters, offering players a tremendously fun and rewarding experience.“
The game will be based on the DC comics and not the cartoon series, like the recently cancelled Midway Justice League title. Currently this is all the information we have on the game, but we’ll bring you more when we get it.
