Just Dance 3 has sold through more than seven million copies since its release, bringing total sell through of the Just Dance franchise to more than 25 million units worldwide, according to internal Ubisoft estimates.

Since its launch in October, Just Dance 3 has been a consistent top five game in the US and Europe.

2011 also saw the Just Dance franchise come to Kinect for Xbox 360 and PlayStation Move, and Ubisoft broadened the brand with the launch of Just Dance Kids. Half a million copies of Just Dance were also sold in Japan and Korea.

“The Just Dance franchise continues to be first choice for customers around the world looking for games that let them dance and get the party started in their living rooms,” said Geoffroy Sardin, chief EMEA sales and marketing officer at Ubisoft.

The publisher also expanded its dance game portfolio with the release of ABBA You Can Dance, The Black Eyed Peas Experience, Michael Jackson The Experience, and The Smurfs Dance Party. Ubisoft’s dance games accounted for 64 per cent of the dance genre in EMEA for calendar year 2011, according to Ubisoft estimates.
