PlayStation has revealed the games that’ll be included in August’s PS Plus lineup, and it’s looking not too shabby. From August 2, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download the explosive action-adventure Just Cause 3, Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry, and roguelike Downwell as part of their PS4 PlayStation Plus games for that month. That’s You is still available as well… so if you like quizzes, That’s for You.

First of all we have the Avalanche extravaganza that’s Just Cause 3, taking Rico Rodriguez on a blow-up everything adventure as he liberates his birthplace Medici from its evil dictatorial military rule. An open-world title that has you grappling your way across enemy territory, with the entirety of Medici as your playground, Just Cause 3 was received quite well.

Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry is the standalone add-on to the excellent Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Set several years after Black Flag, Freedom Cry focuses on, Adéwalé, the former first-mate of Black Flag’s protagonist, Edward Kenway. Adéwalé is now an assassin with his own ship, and this game sees him fighting against the slave trade he once was a part of.

Also included this month for the PS3 is the four-player co-op mining game Super Motherload, and Snakeball, a 3D remake of the classic arcade title Snake. The indie-hit Downwell is the PS Vita highlight of the month, and finally there’s the isometric stealth adventure Level 22.
