The original Japanese voice overs for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be available as DLC for the European version following its release next year, Square Enix has announced.

The Japanese Voice-Over Pack will be available for free for the first two weeks following the game’s launch, before turning into paid DLC.

Square has yet to confirm how much the DLC will cost beyond the initial two-week period.

“The Japanese Voice-Over Pack also includes lip-synching that differs from the English-language voice track already included with the game, to ensure a more natural and localised game experience,” Square confirmed.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII released in Japan earlier this week and is due to launch in the UK on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on February 14, 2014.
