A Fortnite leak shows that Sonic is coming to the battle royale soon with some new cosmetics. This isn’t the only collaboration to anticipate as leaks have also revealed plans for Silent Hill, and next Season we are expected to get The Simpsons. While The Simpsons are massively anticipated, so too is Sonic as the blue hedgehog is a hugely beloved icon.
Fortnite leak reveals Sonic is coming
Prominent leaker, Hypex, has revealed that Sonic is coming to Fortnite. This leak originally stems from Wensoing, and Sonic will be accompanied by his frenemy, Shadow.
Their arrival will be accompanied by new Kick shoes that are set to release in real life on October 30th. This is presumably when Sonic will join Fortnite, but this isn’t official and is just an educated guess.
There are no skin leaks as of writing, but you will presumably be able to play as both Sonic and Shadow. As for whether any other SEGA characters will be added such as Tails, Amy or Dr. Eggman, it seems unlikely as the collaboration seems to just be part of a team-up to promote the new Kicks.
It’s possible an official announcement for the crossover could be made at the Tokyo Gameshow as part of SEGA’s presentation, but right now nothing is official. To say we’re excited would be a huge understatement as, while they will only be skins unable to run as fast as The Flash, it will be morbidly fantastic to see Sonic mowing people down with a gun.
