Nintendo may soon offer N64 games via the Wii U Virtual Console, according to a message posted on the official Wii U Virtual Console page.
“Check back regularly for the latest releases, including the future addition of titles from the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo 64 systems,” reads the message.
Wii U’s Virtual Console line-up recently expanded to include GBA and Nintendo DS, meaning it might not be long before N64 titles begin to appear.
N64 games were part of the Wii’s VC line-up from day one, giving players the chance to play Super Mario 64.
It remains to be seen if GameCube games will ever be offered via the Wii U VC.
