If you’re wondering if EA is down, the server and network status might interest you. As of 08.46am BST, there are problems affecting the EA servers, which could also be leading to disruptions in FIFA. This is because of scheduled maintenance on May 17, 6 AM – 8 AM UTC.
As per EA’s support channel, they tweeted: “During this time, you may be disconnected or unable to access online services.”
They confirmed that Match creation will be disabled 30 min prior to the maintenance, and the following FIFA titles will be impacted on all platforms:
- FIFA 18
- FIFA 19
- FIFA 20
- FIFA 21
- FIFA 22
- FIFA 23
We will update this page when the problem is fixed, but it has been ongoing for the past 45 minutes, which suggests there may more instablity over the next hour or so.
Maintenance work is standard and nothing to worry about – it’s just general housekeeping for online games, so needs to be done. Outside of general maintenance, there were server issues earlier this month on, or close to, 10am on May 4th. Many users have reported their EA login was not working. This coincided with errors regarding Jedi Survivor not launching correctly, possibly due to surrounding network issues. EA tweeted out the following, while stating that a fix is being worked on and will be implemented “as soon as possible.” Soon after this, the issue was fixed.
