Deus Ex: Human Revolution: Director’s Cut is allegedly due to launch on Wii U next Friday, September 6, according to a report by 4Gamers, which claims to have received a revised release schedule from Square Enix highlighting the new date.

But in an email sent to VideoGamer.com this morning, Square Enix told us that it hasn’t “officially announced a release date for this title as yet”.

While Square’s response neither confirms or denies a release next week, it states that a September 6th date has never been announced by the publisher, making an imminent release seem fairly unlikely.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution: Director’s Cut is a revamped version of the 2011 action-RPG, featuring GamePad/second-screen functionality, enhanced boss fights and every piece of DLC.

The game is expected to launch on Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii U later this year.
