Revolution Software founder Charles Cecil has confirmed to VideoGamer.com that the upcoming remastered edition of Beneath a Steel Sky will be released for iPhone at the end of next week.
Cyberpunk point and click adventure Beneath a Steel Sky was originally released in 1994 for DOS and Amiga, and is widely considered to be one of the genre’s greatest games.
Beneath A Steel Sky – Remastered is the first game from Revolution’s new Pocket division, which is focussed on creating and publishing narrative-based handheld games specifically for formats which support digital distribution, including the iPhone, Google Android devices, PSPgo and the Nintendo DSi.
The game features a new intro and outro from Dave Gibbons, co-creator of cult comic book Watchmen, a new hint system and higher quality audio.
