In March, only five months after the current generation iPads were announced, Apple will reveal its fifth generation iPad and iPad mini 2, Brian White of Topeka Capital Markets has said after speaking to industry sources at CES.

The "iPad 5" is said to boast similar horsepower, but will be lighter and thinner than the fourth generation model.

The new mini is expected to feature the same form factor as the present model, but will likely offer upgraded internals. White made no mention of a higher resolution Retina display.
