Sierra Entertainment has today announced that Robert Ludlum’s The Bourne Conspiracy video game will be released across Europe on June 27, 2008.

Developer High Moon Studios has been working closely with Ludlum Entertainment, and has collaborated on story and character development with Bourne screenwriter Tony Gilroy to ensure The Bourne Conspiracy matches fan expectations.

Gamers will experience an original story, uncovering Jason Bourne’s secret past and the conspiracy hiding his origins.

We’re promised the game will feature Jason Bourne’s signature combat style, complete with a blend of hand-to-hand fighting, gunplay and dramatic escapes. The Bourne movies have also featured some of the best chase sequences in recent cinema and this element will also be found in the game, with a re-imagination of the high speed pursuit through Paris in the Mini Cooper.

“We’re creating a video game that is distinctly Bourne, based on a deconstruction of the character from action hero to game hero, and one that we ultimately believe gamers will discover as a distinctively original licensed action game,” said Emmanuel Valdez, chief creative officer, High Moon Studios.

Robert Ludlum’s The Bourne Conspiracy is scheduled for release on June 27, 2008 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
