Insomniac, creator of Ratchet & Clank and Resistance, has ruled out developing for Sony’s upcoming PSP successor, the NGP.

While Resistance is making its way to the handheld via Nihilistic Software, Insomniac does not expect to work with NGP in-house.

Insomniac community manager James Stevenson told Kotaku that the studio is “totally focused on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360”

He added that Insomniac will “support Sony,” but NGP titles are “probably not something we would develop in-house”.

Despite a long history working closely with Sony, Insomniac is now a multi-format studio, having secured a publishing deal with EA for a new IP.
