Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, MachineGames’ incredible first-person adventure is coming to Nintendo Switch 2. Announced during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live alongside Dawn of War 4 and more, the beautiful single-player game will be coming to Nintendo’s latest handheld.
Indiana Jones and The Great Circle comes to Switch 2
Announced alongside new gameplay footage of the game’s Order of Giants DLC, which releases on September 4, 2025, the entirety of MachineGames’ awesome single-player adventure will also be jumping to Nintendo’s newest portable.
Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, which won our Game of the Year Award last year, is built of Id Software’s in-house IdTech Engine. An upgraded version of the same engine that powered Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal, which both ran on the original Nintendo Switch, the tools are known for their massive scalability.
While the Nintendo Switch 2 hasn’t launched with a large number of third-party games, it’s exciting to see more titles make their jump to the system. Alongside Indy, Ubisoft’s Star Wars Outlaws is also coming to the handheld.
Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, just like Star Wars Outlaws, makes use of mandatory ray-tracing for its lighting system. This means that the game simply isn’t possible on the original Nintendo Switch. Time will tell how the game shapes up on Nintendo’s newest handheld.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game is scheduled for release sometime during 2026.
