Original customers of the Humble Indie Bundle have been given a code to download the games via Steam, Valve’s industry-leading digital platform.

The Humble Indie Bundle was originally launched in May 2010, and was available to purchase until the middle of that month. Organiser Wolfire Games gave customers the option pay what they wanted for DRM-free copies of World of Goo, Aquaria, Gish, Lugaru HD, Penumbra Overture and Samorost 2.

A third of the profits generated went to the Child’s Play charity, and another third went to the Electronic Frontier Foundation – though buyers could even opt to donate 100 per cent of their contributions to charity if they so wished.

138,813 people purchased the Humble Indie Bundle, with an average contribution of $9.18 (about £5.81).

Customers will find the code in their e-mail inboxes, or if they opted out of e-mail notifications they can find it by logging into the Humble Indie Bundle website.

For anyone that originally missed out, The Humble Indie Bundle #2 is due to launch soon.

The Humble Indie Bundle was a fantastic scheme, and the games included were absolutely top-notch. Linking the games to Steam – which is many peoples’ favourite choice of gaming on the PC – will go down well with anyone who originally purchased the bundle.
