The latest Humble Indie Bundle, known as the Humble Botanicula Debut, has launched side-by-side with the game’s official release.
It allows customers to pay whatever they deem fit to play Amanita Design’s latest adventure game, which was released yesterday. It’s a game so brand spanking new that VideoGamer.com hasn’t even managed to finish reviewing it yet, though our review will be published later today.
The pack also includes Amanita’s other lovely adventures, Machinarium and Samorost 2. Customers who pay over $5 get Steam keys for the games, and those who pay over the average (currently $8.77) also get copies of Windosill and animated feature film Kooky.
Customers can choose to split the money between the developers, the Humble bundle itself, and habitat conservation charity World Land Trust.
Those who pre-ordered Botanicula on GOG.com or GamersGate, unaware of the impending Humble bundle, will receive the game’s soundtrack, digital art book and a copy of Machinarium “as an apology,” said Amanita Design’s Jakub Dvorský to Rock Paper Shotgun.
At time of writing the Humble Botanicula Bundle has been purchased 31,476 times, making $276,075.83.
