The Extended Cut of House of the Dead Overkill on PlayStation 3 will have 3D support of the anaglyphic kind – meaning you can experience the game in three dimensions with a normal (non-3D) television.

The PS3 port of the 2009 Wii lightgun game also comes with full stereoscopic 3D support, but for those without 3D TVs, the old anaglyphic 3D works in a similar way. Using the old red-cyan system that magazines would feature in the ’90s, you can use a pair of old-school paper 3D glasses to bring the images to life, albeit with slight discolouration.

These glasses will be included in the box of the European release, but not in the US at this stage.

The House of the Dead: Overkill Extended Cut is due for release on PlayStation 3 on October 28, complete with a brand new level, Naked Terror.
