A sequel to the critically acclaimed Hotline Miami is on the way, the game’s creator Jonatan “Cactus” Söderström has revealed.
Posting on Twitter, Söderström wrote: “Working while listening to the sweet tunes of a preliminary Hotline Miami 2 soundtrack that we’ve put together during the weekend.”
It’s not currently clear if Hotline Miami composer Jasper Byrne will return for the sequel, but Söderström did Tweet to say the team would “love to see whatever else [Byrne] can come up with :)”.
Don’t expect to see the sequel anytime soon, however.
“Just want to make it clear that we’re still working on fixing Hotline Miami, we haven’t actually started working on anything new yet!” Tweeted Söderström.
“We only have some general plans for the next game.”
