Eidos has announced that IO Interactive is working on Mini Ninjas, a family friendly action game due for release on numerous platforms in autumn this year.

“Mini Ninjas represents a truly special game for us,” said Niels Jørgensen, General Manager of Io Interactive. “The whole team is very excited about it, because it is unique in so many ways. From the art style to the characters and the depth of the game – Mini Ninjas has that exceptional appeal, which is sure to keep both young and old very entertained.”

In the game you join Hiro, a pint-sized ninja, as he sets off on an epic adventure to restore harmony to the world. By using his skills and those of his mini friends you must take on the evil Samurai, and eventually the Samurai Warlord in this Fortress of Doom.

Mini Ninjas is due for release in autumn 2009 on Wii, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC Games for Windows.
