Here’s an extended look at Doom’s single-player campaign

Last night id Software offered an extended look at Doom’s single-player campaign with a live stream on Twitch. Thankfully you can check all the action below.

In the video executive producer Marty Stratton and creative director Hugo Martin show off some never before seen levels and reveal more info on how the game actually plays.

In keeping with the fast-paced retro vibe of the multiplayer, single-player puts a greater emphasis on shooting things rather than worrying about tactical reloading – there’s no reload in the game, you just shoot until the bullets run dry. Changing weapons is done via a weapon wheel, which slows down the action to give a little more time to switch without actually pausing proceedings. Each weapon also boasts a range of mods, some of which are detailed in the video below.
