EA’s The Casual Entertainment Label has today announced the development of Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure, an exclusive Nintendo DS adventure-puzzle title.

The game promises to offer a unique experience on the handheld by combining both the adventure genre with puzzles.

“We are excited to bring an indie-inspired new intellectual property to the EA Casual Entertainment Label with Henry Hatsworth that fuses together two styles of gameplay utilizing the two Nintendo DS screens like never before,” said Robert Nashak, VP of EA Casual Studios. “The innovative elements of the game have the potential to appeal to both Nintendo enthusiasts and more casual Nintendo DS players.”

Henry Hatsworth is described as a light-hearted character who players must guide on a journey through a new style of gaming adventure. Players will explore five exotic worlds, fight a host of opponents and travel through over 30 levels, including a dozen hidden levels.

The game features two separate worlds (puzzle and adventure) presented on the two Nintendo DS screens. The worlds have a cause and effect inter-relationship and players choose when to switch between action adventure realm and when to beat the puzzle world.

The game’s in development at EA Tiburon and is scheduled for release on Nintendo DS early in 2009.
