Hellgate London launched back in November 2007, but after failing to pull in gamers had its servers shut down by publisher Bandai Namco in February 2009.

In January 2010, the game was reborn as free-to-play Hellgate: Resurrection by South Korean firm Hanbitsoft.

And now, over four years later the game has popped up on Steam Greenlight under the name Hellgate Global from Redbana Corporation, which is closely linked to Hanbitsoft and publisher T3.

Originally set in the London underground system, the game has been expanded to include 24 new levels set in Tokyo.
