Blizzard has unveiled the latest expansion to its popular card battler, Hearthstone. Entitled Rise of Shadows, it'll feature 135 new cards, and adds a bunch of new gameplay mechanics and tweaks to the game.

First off, Lackeys are minons that are weak, but pack a powerful punch with abilities that can turn the tide of a battle. Schemes meanwhile are spells that grow in power the longer they stay in your hand.

The expansion also marks the start of Hearthstone's 'Year of the Dragon' which will see a host of changes to the game, including arena changes, random card backs and 'a brand new single player experience' which is expected to launch at some point after the release of this expansion.

Hearthstone Rise of Shadows will be released April 9 on PC, iOS and Android and more details can be found on the Blizzard website.
