Blizzard's massively successful Hearthstone has surpassed the 100 million player milestone, the company has announced.
'Reaching 100 million players is a huge milestone for Hearthstone, but what matters to us even more is the fact that so many people around the world have embraced the spirit of the game,' said Blizzard boss, J. Allen Brack.
'Whether at events like BlizzCon and Fireside Gatherings or just in tuning in to watch their favorite streamers, it’s been so inspiring to see millions of players and fans coming together, online and in real life, to participate in the Hearthstone community.'
Blizzard launched Hearthstone back in 2014 for the PC, and later rolled it out for iOS and Android in 2014 and 2015, respectively. The game's latest expansion, Rastakhan Rumble, is pencilled in for release on December 4.
Aside from the usual multiplayer-based challenges, the expansion will also include a dedicated single-player offering known as Rumble Run.
