Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, the upcoming AR game from Pokémon Go developer Niantic, is set to launch on June 21.

The date was confirmed during a presentation in Los Angeles, and Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is actually already out in Australia and New Zealand, in beta form.

The game's launch trailer has been released, as well:

As you can see there, the game seems to transform the world into a wizarding playground replete with monsters and puffs of black smoke, and it seems to turn your mobile phone into a wand. Impressive stuff all round!

It's an interesting move from Niantic, who conquered the world for a summer back in 2016, with Pokémon Go, and if there is any other IP that can burst into a summer craze then its surely Harry Potter.

Keep an eye out on Mobile and iOS this Friday, when Harry Potter: Wizards Unite goes live.
