Rome 2’s Hannibal at the Gates campaign pack is now available to download, SEGA and Creative Assembly have announced.

Hannibal at the Gates introduces a brand new campaign map set in the western Mediterranean, and sees Rome and Carthage scrapping at the start of the second Punic War.

Three new factions are also featured, including the Arevaci, the Lusitani and Syracuse, while Rome and Carthage each get a brand new diplomacy-based civil tech tree.

The DLC is priced £9.99.

In addition, the free Seasons & Wonders update has been released to all players. The update includes a unit-roster expansion for Carthage, Twitch.TV streaming support, new great wonders for battlefields, touchscreen support, and introduces seasons into the Rome 2 Grand Campaign. There’s also a bunch of technical, AI and gameplay improvements in both battle and campaign.
