Halo Wars 2’s second beta isn’t due to launch until early 2017, Microsoft has confirmed.

The additional beta test was confirmed shortly after the conclusion of the initial beta test in June. But with the strategy game now pushed back to February, it could be a while until you next get to play it.

“[There’ll] be more upcoming chances to play Halo Wars 2 at events like gamescom, PAX West, and a few more events around the globe,” said 343’s Dan Ayoub on Xbox Wire. “Also, keep in mind that we’ll be having another Beta coming in early 2017 that will be on BOTH Windows 10 and Xbox One!”

The original beta test, which ran for a week back in June, was only available on Xbox One.

Halo Wars 2 launches on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC on February 21, 2017. If you buy it digitally, you’ll be able to play it on both via Microsoft’s Xbox Play Anywhere program.
