Halo: Spartan Assault will release on Xbox One on December 24, Microsoft has announced. An Xbox 360 version will follow in January 2014.

The downloadable twin-stick shooter first released on Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 in July. Anybody who has bought or purchases the game on either of those platforms before December 15 will be able to buy the Xbox One version for £3.99. Otherwise the game will be available for £11.99.

The game currently costs £4.99 on Windows 8, meaning you can pick up both versions for £8.98.

The Xbox One version carries 1000 Gamerscore and an all-new co-op mode, and renders at native 1080p/60FPS. For a closer look, check out the trailer above.
