SkyBox Labs has announced that it is co-developing Halo Infinite with 343 Industries, having previously collaborated with the studio on Halo 5: Forge for Windows 10 and the Xbox One X-powered version of Halo 5: Guardians

The Vancouver-based code house appears to have its fingers in a number of pies with Halo Infinite's production, confirming it's aiding 343 on 'features across the game including AI, gameplay, networking, and cutting-edge graphics features.'

'343 Industries is excited to continue our partnership with SkyBox Labs on Halo Infinite, with their team doing great work across many areas of our project,' commented Head of Halo FPS at 343 Industries, Chris Lee.

Halo Infinite was announced at Microsoft's E3 press conferenece in June, and is apparently so ambitious that it needed a new game engine to power it.

While it's not yet known if the sci-fi shooter will support Xbox Play Anywhere, it doesn't look like 343 is planning to add a battle royale mode into the mix

Halo Infinite is currently in development for PC and Xbox One, with a release date still to be announced.
