The latest issue of Time magazine features extensive coverage of the Xbox 360 and includes some notable comments by Microsoft chairman and chief software architect Bill Gates. Gates talks about the Xbox 360 and in particular one game that every Xbox fan is waiting for: Halo 3. It appears that rumours about the game appearing at around the time of the PlayStation 3 are true, with Gates saying that “the day Sony launches [the new PlayStation], and they walk right into Halo 3.” While Gates’ involvement in the Xbox 360 is unclear, you’d have to think that he has some knowledge of what is going on with the new console.
The Xbox 360 should be Microsoft’s main product at the E3 conference this week. The company’s pre-E3 conference is scheduled for Monday evening and should shed some light on their biggest franchise. We’ll let you know all the details as we hear them.
