The March 2007 release date for the much anticipated Xbox 360 title supposedly comes from a source within Microsoft. IGN contacted Microsoft, but the platform holder refused to comment on the matter. The accuracy of these claims is still in question, but only last week Peter Moore hinted that we would be seeing a glimpse of Halo 3 this year, saying, “I think certainly this year, 2006, we might give you a peek at what Bungie is working on.“
A March 2007 release for Halo 3 doesn’t sound out the question. Halo 2 debuted on the Xbox in November 2004, giving Bungie around two and a half years development time on Halo 3.
