While Bungie’s demonstration of Halo 3: ODST at Microsoft’s E3 conference has had a mixed reaction, there’s no denying that the game will go on to be one of the biggest releases of the year. But all games slip and miss their release date, right? Wrong. It seems Bungie has things well under control.

Speaking to IGN, ODST Creative Director Joe Staten said that the game is essentially “done”. While that doesn’t mean it’s all done and dusted and just sitting on a shelf somewhere until September, it should mean the final few months are used for nothing more than spit and polish.

Halo 3: ODST will be released exclusively on Xbox 360 on September 22.
