The Xbox 360’s biggest and most hyped game of the year, Gear of War, was released last week in the US and understandably has shot to the top of the top ten most played games based on Xbox Live activity. The game shoots above the likes of Call of Duty 2 and Splinter Cell Double Agent.
As far as the Xbox 360 releases go, Gears is king, but Halo 2 is still the most played game on Xbox Live. Combing Xbox and Xbox 360 titles would put Halo 2 top, followed by all the Xbox 360 releases. It’s worth noting that Gears of War is only available in North America at the moment, so the addition of European gamers could see Gears challenge Halo 2.
