Thanks to Steam’s data gathering capabilities, Valve has been able to put together some stats regarding Half-Life 2: Episode One. The most striking is that only 25% of players actually completed the game, despite 47% of players having reached the final level. Either this is a serious case of lazy gamers or as Valve suggests, “players are quitting before they see the credits, or there is a bug in how we collect this data.“
The average completion time is a smidgen over the five hour mark at 5 hours 2 minutes, and in total Steam has logged 895,620 game sessions at an average of 37 minutes a pop. You can check out the full list of stats, plus some lovely looking graphs over at Steampowered.com.
