According to Next-gen, Valve marketing boss Doug Lombardi has shot down rumours that Half-Life 2: Episode 3 will be shown at E3 2008.

The focus of Valve’s attention will be the rather exciting looking Left 4 Dead, which sees players working cooperatively to survive a relentless zombie attack. Lombardi has said the game will be playable at E3 in a “Valve-hosted suite”.

Left 4 Dead is in development at Valve’s Turtle Rock studio and is scheduled for release on PC and Xbox 360 towards the end of the year.
