Activision has announced record shipment numbers for its wholly owned franchise, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, shipping more units than any other game in the publisher’s history.
Robert Kotick, Chairman and CEO of Activision, stated: “Within the first seven days, consumer sell through was more than $100 million in North America alone – our largest product launch ever.“
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is scheduled for release across Europe on November 23 and with Rock Band not making it to Europe until 2008 will be the only peripheral-based rock game out this Christmas.
