ArenaNet is in the process of planning the open beta for its upcoming MMO Guild Wars 2.
In an interview with Nevermet Press, one of the game’s writers, Angel Leigh McCoy, stated the team is in the process of outlining its open beta.
“What I can tell you is that we’re currently in Closed Beta and planning has begun for an Open Beta. It’s all extremely exciting, and the game is coming along smashingly. It really is like magic when it all starts coming together and you see what an enormous accomplishment you’ve contributed to.”
McCoy remained quiet about any potential dates scheduled for open beta.
Guild Wars 2 entered into closed beta in mid-December, based on an internal selection process. This phase of testing is under NDA and not open to the public.
There is currently no official release date announced for Guild Wars 2.
