NCsoft has revealed that it doesn’t expect to launch Guild Wars 2 in 2010, although does anticipate a closed beta to begin next year.
“I believe there will be certain public events in the year 2010… at least a closed beta test for those titles. Commercialisation will be expected, at this point, probably some time in the year 2011,” Jaeho Lee, chief financial officer, told investors during a recent conference call.
Lee confirmed that Guild Wars 2 from ArenaNet and Blade & Soul from NCsoft Korea are expected in 2011. Given that we’re not yet finished with 2009, 2011 seems a long way off. At least fans have a 2010 beta to look forward to.
