Drinkbox Studios' Mexican-flavoured, chicken-powered platformer Guacamelee! 2 will be hitting PlayStation 4 on August 21 in the US and August 24 in the UK, the company announced today.
The follow-up to 2013's Luchador hit is fully playable solo or with three mates in tow, with hero Juan packing a wealth of new moves including the Eagle Boost, Rocket Kick, and the awesomely-named GOOOTCHA!.
With the amount of new abilities squeezed into Guacamelee! 2, players will now bump into dedicated trainers, which set you challenges that unlock powerful upgrades and all-new abilities. If that wasn't enough, the game also includes twice as many enemy types as its predecessor, and we'll be scrapping with a bunch of new and 'eccentric' bosses to boot.
Meanwhile, a new rendering engine gives Guacamelee! 2's visuals a distinct makeover, and is complemented by a fitting electro-Mexican soundtrack to top it all off.
Guacamelee! 2 is available to pre-order from the PlayStation Store now, which will net you a 20% discount.
