A mobile version of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City will launch on iOS and Android this autumn, Rockstar Games has announced.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City 10th Anniversary Edition will offer “several unique enhancements” over previously released versions, Rockstar claims, and high-resolution graphics optimised for mobile devices.

More details about the 10th Anniversary Edition, including a list of compatible iOS and Android devices, will be provided “in the weeks ahead”.

GTA: Vice City first launched on PlayStation 2 back in October 2002. The game is remembered by many fans as being the most iconic game of the series, and one of the PlayStation 2’s most successful titles.

As of March 2008, the game had sold 17.5 million units.
