Grand Theft Auto 3 is hitting high end mobile devices this autumn, but Rockstar has said fans might also get the chance to play mobile versions of both GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas in the future.

Although far from confirmed, the Grand Theft Auto developer told Digital Trends that such ports would be a “technical challenge” but “very possible”.

The mobile version of Grand Theft Auto benefits from improved textures – noticeable on signs and vehicles – plus more complex character models. This all means it’s a better looking game than the version most would have played on PlayStation 2.
