Grand Theft Auto V will be officially announced this summer, according to the latest issue of the US Official Xbox Magazine.
As spotted on NeoGAF, the Crystal Ball page of the mag – in other words, its rumour section – makes the following claim:
“Time’s up, says The Ball. Expect Grand Theft Auto V to be announced later this summer.”
Last month anonymous Rockstar sources stated that GTA V was likely to have a 2012 release.
Rockstar’s latest project, LA Noire, is gaining new DLC this week – a case titled “Reefer Madness.”
The claims that GTA V would come out next year weren’t exactly wild, and this latest rumour feels similarly timid. It could well be true, but there’s so little to the rumour that it seems insubstantial.
Unless you want to make the assumption that OXM know something that the rest of us don’t, this simply looks like a fairly safe shot in the dark.
