Speaking to investors, Eibeler said: “We’ve delivered a new game for the PSP, that’s a $249 purchase, and we’re looking at lower pricing on Liberty City Stories for the console, which is a $149 or below purchase.” Exactly what price the game will launch at wasn’t discussed.

Speaking of the GTA series, it looks unlikely that a next-gen GTA game will appear any time soon. In a statement from Take-Two the company said that in fiscal year 2007 it expects a strong next-gen line-up from Rockstar Games, “including sequels to several of Rockstar’s most successful franchises.” This would mean no next-gen GTA until November 2006 at the earliest.

When asked if Take-Two had decided to partner with Sony or Microsoft for the next-gen GTA, Eibeler replied, “Our guys are very, very excited about the opportunity that next-gen hardware presents,” pretty blatantly not answering the question.
